Out of the Void

Last year, my inner demons filled my brain with emptiness. I felt that I was incapable of creating music; nothing was coming to me, inspiring me, or motivating me. The creative void frustrated and angered me while I desperately seeked the catalyst to revive my instincts. Opening my eyes to the world finally helped. Human suffering from pandemic, climate change, a crazy presidential election, and shocking events due to systemic racism - suddenly I felt the urge to act, and to help. And I did. I voted. I donated towards cancer research. I created my art to express my anger and disgust over the inhumanity I would witness on a day to day basis. Finally, I came out of the void.
